افادت صحيفة “واشنطن بوست” نقلاً عن مصادر رفيعة بأنّ إدارة الرئيس الأميركي جو بايدن، رغم تصاعد الصراع في الشرق الأوسط، وافقت على بيع أسلحة أميركية دقيقة لإسرائيل بمبلغ 735 مليون دولار.
واشارت الصحيفة إلى أن “إدارة بايدن وافقت على بيع أسلحة دقيقة لإسرائيل مقابل 735 مليون دولار”.
واوضحت المصدر أنه “تم إخطار الكونغرس الأميركي رسميا بالصفقة المرتقبة في 5 أيار، أي قبل حوالي أسبوع من بدء حركة حماس الفلسطينية بضرب الأراضي الإسرائيلية”.
