The President- elect along with Vice President- elect Kamala D. Harris introduced Antony Blinken for Secretary of State, Alejandro Mayorkas for Secretary of Homeland Security, Avril Haines for Director of National Intelligence, Linda Thomas-Greenfield for U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Jake Sullivan as National Security Adviser, and John Kerry as Special Presidential Envoy for Climate.

أكد وزير الخارجية الأميركي أنتوني بلينكين أن “الوقت للتوصل إلى اتفاقات العودة إلى خطة العمل الشاملة المشتركة حول الاتفاق النووي الإيراني ينفد بسرعة”.
وقال لموقع “Pod Save the World”: “الحقيقة هي أنه لم يتبق أمامنا سوى القليل من الوقت لفهم ما إذا كان بوسعنا العودة إلى الاتفاق المتبادل حول خطة العمل الشاملة المشتركة”.
وأضاف: “تمكنت إيران خلال تعليق التزاماتها بخطة العمل المشتركة، من التقدم بعيدا في برنامجها النووي.. حتى لو عدنا إلى جميع القيود المنصوص عليها في الاتفاقية، سنكون في مرحلة لن نستطيع فيها استخدام كل مزاياها”.
