رأى الرئيس الأميركي، جو بايدن، الخميس، أنّ “إعصار إيان قد يكون الأسوأ في تاريخ فلوريدا”.
وتعهد بايدن خلال كلمة ألقاها عقب إحاطة إعلامية عن تأثيرات الإعصار وجهود الاستجابة الفيدرالية، بأن “تتحمل الحكومة الفيدرالية كامل النفقات لرفع الآثار التي خلفها”.
ووصل الإعصار إيان، الذي أصبح عاصفة استوائية، إلى جنوب غرب فلوريدا أمس الأربعاء، قبل أن يواصل مروره عبر الولاية، الخميس، مصحوبا برياح عاتية وأمطار غزيرة.
