أعلن مسؤولون أميركيون أن الولايات المتحدة ستبدأ تدريب القوات الأوكرانية على كيفية استخدام دبابات أبرامز وصيانتها في الأسابيع المقبلة، حيث تواصل تسريع جهودها لإيصالها إلى ساحة المعركة في أسرع وقت ممكن.
ويأتي القرار في الوقت الذي يجتمع فيه قادة دفاع من جميع أنحاء أوروبا والعالم في قاعدة رامشتاين الجوية، في إطار الجهود المستمرة لتنسيق تسليم الأسلحة والمعدات الأخرى إلى أوكرانيا.
وبحسب المسؤولين، ستصل 31 دبابة إلى منطقة تدريب غرافنوهر بألمانيا في نهاية أيار، وستبدأ القوات التدريب بعد أسبوعين.
