أعلن الجيش الباكستاني أن مجموعة من المسلحين استهدفت قاعدة جوية تدريبية في إقليم البنجاب بشرق البلاد في الساعات الأولى من صباح السبت، وقتل جميع المهاجمين التسعة.
وأضاف بيان عسكري إن “الرد السريع والفعال” للقوات أحبط الهجوم على قاعدة ميانوالي الجوية للتدريب، وحافظ على سلامة أفرادها وأصولها، على الرغم من تضرر ثلاث طائرات متوقفة عن الطيران وتدمير ناقلة وقود في الهجوم.
