The President- elect along with Vice President- elect Kamala D. Harris introduced Antony Blinken for Secretary of State, Alejandro Mayorkas for Secretary of Homeland Security, Avril Haines for Director of National Intelligence, Linda Thomas-Greenfield for U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Jake Sullivan as National Security Adviser, and John Kerry as Special Presidential Envoy for Climate.

أفادت وكالة “بلومبرغ” بأن وزير الخارجية الأميركية أنتوني بلينكن لم يتمكن من مغادرة مدينة دافوس السويسرية في الموعد المقرر بسبب عطل فني في طائرته.
وذكرت الوكالة أنه تم اكتشاف تسرب للأكسجين في طائرة الوزير من نوع “بوينغ 737″، واعتبرها الخبراء غير آمنة. وتم إرسال طائرة أخرى من بروكسل لنقل بلينكن. أما فريق مساعدي الوزير والصحافيين المرافقين له، فإنهم سيعودون إلى الولايات المتحدة على متن رحلات تجارية.
وكان بلينكن قد زار سويسرا للمشاركة في منتدى دافوس الاقتصادي الدولي الذي يقام خلال الفترة بين 15 و19 كانون الثاني الجاري.
