زعم وزير الدفاع الفرنسي سيباستيان لوكورنو أن روسيا تمثل تهديدا لبلاده وحلفائها في الناتو، مستشهدا بما قال عنها هجمات سيبرانية متزامنة على مستشفيات ومجالس المدينة وشركات وغيرها.
وجاءت تصريحات لوكورنو في مقابلة مع صحيفة Midi Libre وامتنع في الوقت ذاته عن تقديم أمثلة محددة على تلك الهجمات السيبرانية المزعومة على المؤسسات الفرنسية وكانت نتيجتها سرقة لبيانات خاصة وغيرها من الأضرار على حد تعبيره ومن دون أن يسمي أيا من تلك الجهات المستهدفة.
