Grid operator RTE said 160,000 homes had been affected in Cannes and the surrounding area.

وقد أفيد بأن الكهرباء انقطعت في جميع أنحاء مدينة كان، حيث انطفأت الأنوار في المتاجر والمطاعم التي لا يمكنها قبول الدفع النقدي فقط. وتعطلت إشارات المرور أيضاً ما تسبب في تعطل حركة المرور على الطرقات. وتأثر الإنترنت مع انقطاع التطبيقات الشهيرة مثل “واتساب”.
ومع ذلك، كانت الأضواء لا تزال مضاءة في قصر المهرجانات، وكان عدد من الفنادق الكبرى على طول الكروازيت لا يزال مزوداً بالكهرباء بفضل المولدات الكهربائية، على الرغم من أنه لم يتضح إلى متى يمكن أن تستمر في توفير الكهرباء.
